Summary
Version 2.1 of the Innovolt Management Cloud (“IMC”) delivers functionality and ease of use enhancements. Many of these improvements are due directly to your feedback, which is greatly appreciated. The release is live on our servers and there is no action required from you.
Notable New Features and Improvements
Time Zones
IMC now supports time zones for your devices. Formerly all times in IMC were recorded and displayed in UTC. UTC is the standard for coordinating time on machines across various time zones, but this created a lot of mental math in order to determine what time reads or events occurred on the device. You will now be able to set the time zone of the device in IMC so that all data going forward will be converted into the selected time zone. It is important to note that this is the time zone of the device, so if the device is located in Georgia all read and event times will be presented in EDT.
Setting the Time Zone
By default all devices are set to UTC. To change this, simply click on the appliance name in IMC and select the desired time zone.
Once the time zone is set, you’ll see any reads or events show up with that time zone indicated. All previous reads and events will remain in their former time zone:
“Sticky” Search and Filters
Any search or filters you have selected in IMC will remain in effect if you navigate away from the page and then return. For example, if you searched for any device with the word “lab” in it and then went to the Preferences to change your password, “Lab” will still be in the search criteria when you return to the appliances page. The search result will remain in place until you reset the search or log out.
Quick Links
Quick links allow you to quickly return to an item (e.g. device, user, etc…) that you’ve made a change to. You’ll see this at the top of the page after making a change. For example, if you made a change to the connected equipment on a device and click save, you’ll be taken back to the Appliances page where you’ll see a link back to the device you just changed.
